This was the scene at Old Erie #3 when Newton Falls visited to collect the traveling gavel and observe the Master Mason Degree conferred on April 1st

George A. Holly #745 was well represented at the 200th Anniversary Ball Over 400 people were in attendance to celebrate the 200th Birthday of Freemasonry in Ohio

WB Kenneth E. Smith a Past Master of Old Erie Lodge #3 enjoys the company of Janine Gordon  the wife of RWB Ronald Gordon, District Deputy Grand Master of the 25th Masonic District. This was the scene of the 25th Masonic Districts Ball held in recognition of the 200th Anniversary of Freemasonry in Ohio held January 12, 2008 at Kent State University

This was great, looks like RWB Swauger is supervising rather than participating in the line dancing.

The dance floor was full most of the evening. Here is why, we were entertained by the Al Koran Swing Band.  Great Music!!!  They donated their fee to support the Shrine Children's Hospitals.

RWB D. Douglas Dolan District Deputy of the 25th Masonic District, prepares to present the Grand Lodge Lantern to WM George Edmiston III, the Worshipful Master of Old Erie #3 one of the founding Lodges of the Grand Lodge of Ohio and the oldest Lodge in the 25th District.  The lantern will now travel to each Lodge in the District spreading the light of Freemasonry as it goes.

Linda Swauger and Shirley Anderson the wives of our District Deputy Grand Masters preparing the room for the Ball.  Without the help of them and the PDDGM wives the event would not have been the complete success it was.

Brother George E. Hineman receives his 50 Year Award from RWB D. Douglas Dolan, DDGM 25th Masonic District at Shepherd of The Valley in Howland on Saturday, December 8, 2007.  Brother Hineman is a member of Western Reserve Lodge #507 in West Farmington.  Pictured from L to R are Brother Hineman’s wife Sophia, his sons Jack and Robert, RWB D.Douglas Dolan, and Brother Ken Brady.  There were 21 people in attendance for the presentation, representing 6 lodges in the 25th District.

RWB Ken Gifford passes the traveling gavel to RWB Terry Swauger while RWB Bob Homoly of Mentor Lodge #772 and WB George Edmiston III of Old Erie #3 look on.  Old Erie Lodge traveled to Painesville to take possession of the traveling gavel on December 11th.  They had almost 20 of their members present.
